How To Balance Quantity Over Quality

How To Balance Quantity Over Quality

I’ve been preaching this consistently that you need to post more content on your social media. Forget about the quality. What you need to focus on is quantity. Then, I was asked how I balance quantity over quality.

Quality

How can you create more content because you think that it’s not good enough? Quality is subjective. No matter what you do, there are still people who would say that it’s not good.

Critics are everywhere that even if you think that your work is great, some people won’t agree to it, especially on social media. This is when you get discouraged with your works.

Quantity

Quantity is a number. So, if you create ten contents per day, but when you say that it’s good and people would ask if it’s really that good.

How can you get around with this?

Here are some tips.

You don’t need to follow what others say. Figure out a good number that suits you, especially when you are the only one doing the task. This means that you can post content on social media that works best for you – something that makes you comfortable enough.

No matter what you think about your project that you want things to go smoothly and you are a perfectionist, let your audience decide the quality of your work. As long as you are using your gift to tell your story and you are doing your best, your audience will definitely decide.

At the end of the day, what matters is the message or impact on your audience – the things that they learned from your video. Other crappy videos may not have a quality for others, but the impact matters.

One last thing, when you create more content, it’s the way of learning faster. When I started a vlog, I decided to put content every single day. So, when we are traveling with my family, I was the only one who can drive and set things up as soon as we get to the hotel. But then, I still get the time to review and edit my videos and publish them.

It doesn’t matter to me if the videos were of great quality, but it was my way of learning faster than what others can. It took me years of practice to edit videos in just an hour.

What others say doesn’t matter. What they see is just the tip of the iceberg. They don’t see the late nights and hard works that you do. This is why it’s important for you to identify your limitations, the things that you can and can’t do.
