Building A Wedding Film Business With Scott Mckenna

Social Media Presence Is Extremely Important When It Comes To Branding & The More You Brand, The Less You Actually Sell ~ Scott Mckenna

If you are thinking about getting into film-making and you are planning to make a living as a film-maker, there is one market that is a low barrier entry for you to get started.

Some people find this market a stressful market.

However, some people didn’t.

Filming weddings is probably one of the best market to get started with if you are planning to get your feet wet.

This is where you can start building relationships with people and start building your portfolio to back you up in your future goal.

You can start filming weddings for your sister or neighbours  for free to get the stress off  your shoulders while you are still learning how it actually works.

At least, incase your work bomb, there’s no strings attached.

Once you get that ball rolling and your getting some bookings referred from the cousin of your friends friend, and you are getting confident of taking those videos, then you can start charging for a little bit to cover your expenses.

Although it’s hard to tell to the couple that you want to charge them with your work, but the best thing I found that really works is by saying…

“I am willing to film your wedding for free, but it would be great if you can just cover my gear rentals that will be used during your wedding”

A lot of good stuff for you in this episode because if you find the above info useful, then you are here for a treat.

I happened to invite a successful wedding film-maker based in Allentown, Pensilvania in this episode to reveal his secrets how they managed to book 35 weddings a year consistently.
